Rolex 1575 movement date setting question I've recently picked up this lovely 1550 from 1972. It's got the 1575 movement in (like the red subs of the era) and obviously the date is non quickset. The 5513/5512 therefore is the winner for me even though I like the cyclops. Spanner in the works here but have you considered a 16750 (GMT-Master with quickset) or a 1016 Explorer..? I have a 1016 (no date - no problem) and a Date Just 16000 (plexi with quickset date) and those are a great pair of vintage Rolex for me. My heart is set on a GMT, and my choice would either be to get a birth year 16750 Pepsi bezel, or just get the best possible example of a 16710, which would be far more likely to have B&P, and have the more modern quickset movement.
