But, because the case is relatively slim at 12mm thick, it does wear smaller than you may think. The 42mm width is the right size, the 50mm lug to lug doesn’t extend past my wrists, the size is perfect. The blue lume is excellent as well. It’s not super bright, but it stays charged for hours.

Huge fan of the Explorer II (216570), especially the Polar variant. It was the first Rolex I bought but was sold after 10 months as it was slightly too big for my 7 inch wrist. It's a real shame Rolex didn't reduce its wing span (lug to lug) with the new version. In 2019 Rolex released yet another 42 mm watch in the YatchMaster 42 in white gold. The case of the Explorer II is large, but it’s somewhat more wearable than the SeaDweller watches due to the smaller lugs. At 50 mm lug-to-lug, on my wrist (6.5 inches) the watch has an impressive presence.
