I contacted 5 AD's via email about getting on a waiting list for a Rolex and they all have told me they don't do wait lists. Is this common and are there certain stores that you are aware of that actually have one?

Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends. These early Omega quartz movements are a thing of beauty and a joy forever. You should get it sealed, for sure. I've never had any of my 1300 series movements worked on. I wouldn't worry until it stops. Quartz, even 30 year old quartz, keeps working quite well without service. Of course if it is having problems, that is another matter.
